Shams Empowers the Next Generation of Creators in Collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology

Sharjah Media City (Shams) concluded the activities of the “Venture Ignite” competition, organized in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), with strong student participation. More than 25 teams competed to present innovative entrepreneurial ideas and projects that showcased the diversity of creative skills and the spirit of innovation among youth.
The competition aimed to encourage innovative thinking, develop practical skills, and promote an entrepreneurial mindset among students. Shams’ partnership added significant value to the event by providing support and sponsoring the prizes awarded to the winners.
Following project evaluations, the judging panel selected three winning teams, each receiving valuable prizes to support the growth and continuity of their entrepreneurial projects.
The first-place team received a two-year business license from Shams and a complimentary membership to Zoho, a global all-in-one business management platform offering digital solutions for project management, human resources, marketing, and customer service, in addition to free banking support.
The second- and third-place teams received one-year licenses along with Zoho platform benefits and banking support services.
Sara Al Amoodi, Marketing & Events Executive at Sharjah Media City, emphasized that these awards represent a tangible step toward empowering students to transform their ideas into viable, sustainable startups. She noted that through such initiatives, Shams remains committed to supporting young talent and equipping them with the tools needed to succeed in the business world.
At the conclusion of the event, organizers praised the quality of participation and the creativity of the submitted projects. They affirmed that this initiative aligns with a shared vision to inspire young people, foster innovation, and contribute to building a knowledge-based economy driven by entrepreneurship.
