In Response to Growing Interest and to Provide an Additional Opportunity for Arab Creatives

“Shams Arabic Content Award” Registration Extended until 31 October

Sharjah, 29 September 2026: Sharjah Media City (Shams) has announced the extension of the registration period for the third edition of the Shams Arabic Content Award until 31 October 2026, in response to the growing interest from creators, content makers, and media professionals wishing to participate. The extension provides Arab talent with an additional opportunity to submit their work and compete across the Award’s various categories.
The extension reflects Shams’ commitment to broadening participation and providing more creators with the opportunity to showcase their work. It also supports the Award’s objectives of nurturing Arab talent, encouraging innovation, enhancing the quality of Arabic content, and keeping pace with the rapid transformations taking place across the media and content creation sectors.
The third edition of the Award features an expanded range of categories, including three new categories: “Best TV Series Screenwriter,” “Best Film or TV Series Original Soundtrack,” and “Best Creative Advertisement,” alongside Best Short Film, Best AI Video, Best Content Creator, Best Podcast, Best Actor, and Best Actress.
These categories reflect the diversity and growing scope of the Arab creative ecosystem, while keeping pace with rapid developments in production technologies and digital platforms, including the use of artificial intelligence in content creation. They provide creators from various disciplines with a unified platform to showcase their work and celebrate innovative ideas, as well as artistic and technical excellence.
Shams affirmed that the extension of the registration period aims to provide creators and talent with an additional opportunity to participate and benefit from a platform dedicated to highlighting Arab creative talent and strengthening the presence of Arabic content at both regional and international levels. It also supports individuals with distinctive ideas and experiences across various fields of media, production, and content creation.
