Shams Summer Camp Concludes Its Second Edition with Outstanding Success
Sharjah, August 8, 2025:
Sharjah Media City (Shams) successfully concluded the second edition of its Summer Camp, achieving remarkable success after two weeks filled with educational, creative, and recreational activities designed for children aged 6 to 16. Held at the Shams Business Center, the camp attracted dozens of participants from across the emirate. Running from July 28 to August 7, 2025, the camp aimed to develop children's skills in media, arts, and technology while nurturing their cognitive and social abilities in a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment.
The camp featured specialized workshops across eight main fields, including theater and acting, podcasting, the Little Speaker, stop-motion photography, artificial intelligence, drawing, Arabic calligraphy, and the Little Influencer. These workshops were designed to strengthen children’s communication, expression, and artistic and media creativity.
Daily schedules also included fun and interactive activities, such as sports and mind-games, mini-gardening sessions, recycling projects, and hands-on crafts aimed at enhancing environmental awareness and developing sensory and motor skills.
Commenting on the camp, Adnan Al Mansoori, Manager of Media Talent Development at Shams, said: “The second edition of the Shams Summer Camp witnessed significant development compared to the first, both in content and engagement. This year, we also introduced awareness sessions for mothers, believing in the importance of alignment between family and child in skill-building. We are already working on enhancing the third edition to make it even more comprehensive and innovative, aligned with children’s aspirations and future needs.”
Shams ensured the highest standards of safety and comfort for all participants, providing a dedicated medical team, including nurses and ambulance services throughout the camp. Entry and exit were well-managed by volunteer teams to guarantee smooth and secure operations. Each activity was led by expert trainers experienced in working with children, supported by performance stages, cameras, microphones, stationery, and motivational gifts.
A structured evaluation process was implemented, including periodic parent surveys and individual performance assessments, ensuring continuous improvement and an enriching experience for all participants.
The camp concluded with a celebratory ceremony honoring all participants, in a joyful atmosphere that reflected its success in achieving its educational and media-focused goals. As part of its commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering media creativity in the UAE, Shams will continue to expand and develop future editions of the Summer Camp to meet the aspirations of the new generation and keep pace with evolving trends in media and creativity.
