Shams Welcomes China Media Group to Explore Opportunities for Joint Cooperation

Sharjah, July 16, 2025:

Sharjah Media City (Shams) welcomed a delegation from China Media Group (CMG) during an official visit aimed at exploring strategic cooperation opportunities and strengthening partnerships in digital media, media training, and technological development.

During the visit, His Excellency Rashid Abdalla Al Obad, Director General of Sharjah Media City (Shams), met with Ms. Mu Li, Director General of China Media Group in the Middle East, in the presence of a high-level delegation from both sides. The discussions focused on enhancing media collaboration and expanding the scope of partnership between the two organizations. Both parties emphasized that the meeting reflected a shared vision regarding the importance of building strategic partnerships that support innovation and invest in the future of media. They also agreed that this mutual understanding paves the way for future projects that will foster cultural and technological exchange between the UAE and China, and open new horizons in digital media, training, and content creation.

The visit included a comprehensive presentation on Shams and its key initiatives, highlighting the Shams Studios project currently under development as an integrated space for creativity and film production. The project aims to provide a professional and flexible environment equipped to global standards, enabling content creators and producers from around the world to bring their projects to life.

The tour also included visits to a number of key facilities, such as The podcast room, training and innovation zones, in addition to introducing the delegation to pioneering creative initiatives including Hekaya – The Script Room and the Influencers Room, which received strong interest and appreciation from the CMG delegation for their advanced vision in supporting talent and empowering content creators.
