UAE National Media Office and “Shams” Explore Prospects of Joint Media Cooperation

In line with efforts to strengthen national media integration, Sharjah Media City (Shams) held a meeting today with the UAE National Media Office at its headquarters in Sharjah. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Rashid Abdalla Al Obad, Director General of Sharjah Media City (Shams), and His Excellency Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director General of the National Media Office.
The discussion focused on exploring avenues for joint cooperation and expanding coordination between the two entities across various fields, with particular emphasis on addressing the fast-evolving challenges impacting the media sector amid global digital transformations, and on developing innovative strategies that keep pace with these rapid changes.
Both sides also reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming “Bridge Summit” scheduled for December, which will serve as a key platform for knowledge exchange and shaping shared visions for the future of media. The summit will also strengthen regional and international partnerships and reinforce the UAE’s position as a leading and influential player in the global media landscape.
This meeting reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to supporting the media industry and developing an integrated ecosystem grounded in human values, serving society with a spirit of responsibility and sustainability, further consolidating the UAE’s pioneering role in shaping the future of modern media.
