The Entrepreneur’s Watch List

Business ideas don’t come to mind out of thin air, there is always an inspiration behind them. The muse of a creative entrepreneur might be inspired by a teacher, friends, parents or even a TV character. People watch movies, series and read books because they can relate to the story or the characters. In this blog, we mention some of the TV protagonists that have influenced entrepreneurs through their roles. An entrepreneur’s role model is not necessarily an expert in the same field of their startup. Thus, we mention in the list below heroes of unique personalities

Sakuragi Hanamichi – Slam Dunk

There are three main points in this character and in the series that entrepreneurs will be able to relate to. First, the fact that only one incident is sufficient to turn things around. Many startups, which eventually grow to be a thriving business, start with a minor accident. Second, low academic grades have nothing to do with entrepreneurial aptitude. However, it’s not only about the money here. This cartoon, depicting the lives of five slackers, helps future entrepreneurs believe in their ideas and obsessions and not neglect them on account of high academic credentials.
